How to repair power outside mirror?

First time poster here.I just bought a 1999 Corrola LE w/power mirrors,the left one only works in the up and down adjustment it will do nothing in the left and right adjustment i can hear motor running but it sounds like something is slipping.How do i get inside mirror to see what's going on in there?

the mirror may have skppied out of the snap joint that hodl it to the cable clamp. If somone tried to move it by hand they might have unspnned its place. it if feels lose by hands you can snap it back into place. This is only if you hear the mechanism inside the mirror moving when you push the switch, which means the cable is moving int he moirror housing.

keep in mind this is for my 89 Corolla and whatever car you have maybe different.
