I drove a few weeks in my 92 Paseo with three lugs. Mostly just around town driving, then a 120 miles drive to a mechanic I was planning on going to before the wheel stud broke off.

No problems. I was not worried.

Well, it might be an issue, or might not. I considered it not an issue.

Others on here might see it as a big hazard

I would change it as soon as you can but it's ok to drive it like that. I broke a stud before and never noticed it until my my wheel almost came off on the highway. Made sure all the lugs where tight on the other four and drove her home (a good fifty miles from my house).Bought a new stud and replaced it as soon as I got home.

You can drive it.. but get it fixed as soon as you can. You got all the weight of the car on 3 studs and the hub now, so another stud could go. I would replace all 4 as who knows now how the other 3 are doing, just to be safe.

I've been driving on 3 studs on my front driver side wheel for... 15k+ :p Yeah... I'll pull it out and replace it one of these days.

If the wheel is sitting agains the hub (The center hole) then is no big deal, just don't do any skids of lock ups under brakes.
If your wheels are aftermarket and the center spigot is the wrong size its not safe to drive.
