AE92 Check out this AE92

Here's my AE92, I have recieved alot of criticizm in teh past for the taillight conversion and even tricking out an SR5. To all those people out there.... How Ya like them apples? Check out this site http://www.slcustoms.s5.com/photo.html and let me know what you think. There are alot of custom body mods you'll NEVER see on an AE92.

Thanks

You're right, you'll never see half those mods on an AE92 because no one is that gutsy (for lack of words)
props to you for trying though, everyone is got their own taste, just not a LOT of people have yours.
I think you could've done better, lose the stripes, metal wing, add JDM Kouki parking lamps to the equation
and the bomex duckbill spoiler and rear bumper lips and you would be set.

AE92 Here's what I did

As you may have seen, that's NOT a corolla rear bumper or side skirts. Have you ever known anyone to retro-fit parts from a 94-95 mustang onto a corolla? Probably not, but I have. The taillight conversion was re-done for a cleaner look. The total invested is just shy of $25,000, and that's not stupidity, I call it dedication. it's built for show, and mild is not in my dictionary. I believe that if you're gonna do something, go all the way and do what has never been done before. Thank you for your comments, and I apreciate them all.

Thanks

have you ever seen anyone else put silvia lights on their sr5? and have an n/a sr5 that can beat most gts's? lol

IMO, the gen2 integra tail swap looks better on these cars.... the supra lights are too roundy to fit the body styling

$25,000 and its still a slow SR5 dude! With that money I could've done a decent 3SGTE swap, upgrade suspension and brakes, decent racing seats, front and rear Zenki or Kouki bumpers or even a Levin front end swap, etc... show AND go.

I almsot forgot/ It looks good though..I'd have put some Integra tails instead though..just the blue paint, no hoodscoops, stripes or foglights..and if the rear bumper wasnt as low...

To all of you, thank you for your comments. I'm not really a dick, but hear it goes. Most people CAN'T do what I have done with this car. I have done EVERY LITTLE BIT of work to this car myself. How about you? As far as the suspension goes, toyotaspeed90, I have more invested in my suspension than you have in your last 4 cars, try trippling that. Jealousy is a bitch, and I feal sorry for some of you. But as far as the real car enthusiasts thanks for support. And to Project trueno, it's an Aerospeed wing, but I'm not sure what series. Now that that's been said, I'm in the works to get over 200hp out of this little 1.6 2bbl engine and it's not too far away. Just a simple fix. So as to all you STOCK GTS's, watch out.

AE92 1988 SR5 Carb

Sorry to contradict you, but all '88 and I think '89 SR5's maybe, came with a 2bbl carb. I don't think they started putting EFI until '90. That's the difference between the 4AF and the 4AF-E. E... for Efi. Now some people call the affore mentioned 4AF the 4AF-C but it is a carburated motor. Now there are several ways to get more power out of the little 2bbl, and that is to do a direct Weber carb swap and I think it's the 32/36 but I'm not sure. OR, you can get a set of 41mm Motorcycle carbs off of a 1000cc crotch rocket or bigger, or you can get them off of a 750cc but you will have to re-jet the carbs.

He's right 88-89 SR5s and Sedans came with the 4AF carbed, 90-92 SR5 and sedans came with the 4AFE.

You can't make a claim that you spent so much money on suspension and NOT post what you got.. its like that dude that said he had a RWD AE92 sedan from factory, then when he was asked to post pics and prove it, he said the car had been written off in a freak accident.

As for making 200hp out of a 4AF, I highly doubt that. I think even FLASHMN will laugh at you on that.. he's currently doing a Turbo 4AF setup.

Honestly, for $25,000 worth of mods.. its still a waste as you could've done so much better than that.
