getting into gear in a AE82

hay all
i have a problem with my AE82 hatch with a twin cam motor in it

i was driving normal and put the clutch into go into 2nd as i enter a turn and heard a bang and couldnt get back into gear. felt like the slave pin popped off i got it home by match reving it and getting it into 4th and got it home.

i replaced the slave no go...
replaced the master no go...

the pin on the slave is pushing all the way out so thats not the problem
i cant get it into gear while the car is on. feels like the clutch isnt even working as im trying to shift.
the selector cables for the tranny have been replaced not to long ago so it is selecting gears fine. but i cant work out what this problem is.
can anyone help me please?
the hole clutch system has been bleed and replaced.
i have a very good idea about cars but this has be lost

the clutch may have disintegrated... i had this happen on a cheap clutch and it did just what you are describing.

I'd say your clutch disc or pressure plate is stuffed. Pull the gearbox off and have a look,

you could have also lost the t/o bearing on the clutch fork end...... or your pressure plate bolts could have loosened/broke..... you'll need to pull the tranny to really find out
