Australia No Power!!

hey all,
i own a 91 corolla sedan, and it really has no power at all.. it has a carby engine, which means i cant put a decent cold air intake on it.. as far as i know? what can i do to improve the power, but i dont want to spend too much money as i will be upgrading to a different car at the end of this year. SO anyways, any opinions would be awesome

cheers
matt

Either carbs plus exhaust OR do a custom turbo like flashmn on TN. other than that.. that's about it.

so lets say i was to fit a bigger carby to the engine, with a bigger intake, it would improve power a bit. but then in turn to consolidate the power i would need a new exhaust? sounds pretty logical to me.

would i be able to fit a big carby, say like one from an old falcon, onto it? it would be a pretty dramatic difference in size i imagine. but would this be possible? anyways, thanks for advice.

cheers

are you talking about a ford falcon? But I guess you could make almost anything fit, if you are willing to modify enough...but if it worked that would be really sweet. With all that extra flow, it would be a wise idea to upgrade the exhaust like you said. Good luck!

a big carb in itself wont do much of anything except give you a shitty fuel consumption.
