AE86 How hard would it be..

hey I have a question.. how hard would it be to do a manual conversion to an automatic AE86 corolla.. would it be better to wait and do a whole engine, tranny swap at the same time? any hidden problems with swapping from automatic to manual? I'm only asking because I've seen a few AE86's for sale dirt cheap simply because they are automatic. thanks for your time.

if i were you i would start work on a sr5 to gts conversion( bluetop 4age, c50 tranny? i think and a limited slip diff) youll get more power and all that good stuff or if your willing to go the extra mile put in a 4agze in or a 20v. theres tons of support for the ae86 at www.club4ag.com

Its not hard to do, its just finding all the parts thats difficult, gearbox (T50 for a 4age), flywheel and clutch, driveshaft, pedal box, master/slave cylinders and lines, interior parts, etc. etc.

An if doing a 4age converseion you will (eventually) need to upgrade the diff.

I'd say until you switch the 4ac with a 4age I'd wait, you can lower it in all together rather than mate them up sperately
