ok guys, my cars been really nice these few days, but today it happened, another problem? *sigh* here it is, the key is stuck to the ignition switch! After i came back from the store, i turned the engine off, tried to take out the key as usualy but NO!....it doesn't want to come off, so i yanked, pushed and pull, wiggle and jiggled the thing, but it still wont come out!!!
Whats going on here?? how to fix? am i gonna have to call a locksmith or something? ahhhhh....
CRBoyd91: If your gonna come on here and talk and act like that you will soon find your not welcome here, my advice is modify the attitude!
Hey Rice, your cars a 93 - 97 right? i seem to remember that!?!? if it is stop messing with it because whats probably happened is the waffers are stuck or jammed chances are the lock cylinder is messed! my advise is this pull the lock cylinder out of the steering column so if it goes bad you can save the $$$ from having it drilled out!\
With it out you can try to free it, if you can't then you will have to get a new one or have a lock smith fix the old one (replace waffers)
In the mean time you can use a screwdriver or needle nose pliers to start the car
proceedure:
1. Get the ignition into the ACC position (1st click)
2. Take off panel beneath the steering column 4 X 10mm bolts
3. With it in ACC locate the shiny pin about 1/8" in dia, push it up with a punch or a screwdriver then pull out on ignition cylinder the whole thing should slide out!
4. Replacing the cylinder, put the switch in ACC with a screwdriver or pliers, then put the lock cylinder in ACC then just slide it in the way it came out

thanks Rolla_Guy, yeah it is 93-97, the key is not broken into it, i just cant take it out, the key is still full intact, i'm not sure if i wanna take out the whole thing because i cant take it out in the first place, im not sure if i can take it out if i take it off the whole ignition cylinder etc...., but I'll try, anymore solutions??
Well I owned a 87 Eurosport. Worst car I have ever owned. The Axle broke while I was doing around 70-75 mph. (Boy that was fun getting it to the side of the road while in a snow storm to boot.) More things then I can mention broke on the car. I will never buy a Chevy ever again. I grew up in a Chevy family...the older ones where well build...not today....they are junk.

Well, most of these Corollas have Delcotron alternators. Had to replace 1 already.
The only Chevy worth buying is the Prizm.

*sigh* now we start to see the "benefits" of the AF merge. Too bad some are such losers that they have to search thru other forums to make ig-no-rant comments.
As for Chevy, I agree with Old Dood: GM used to make good cars (and still makes a couple), but one thing I can say for sure: I haven't seen any 6-month old Yotas driving around town with faulty wheel bearings, faulty brakes, or interior trim pieces which spontaneously fall off. I'm not sure what Chevy's official strategy is for competing with the quality imports, but it's not working. Blind brand loyalty only goes so far.
As far as the "jobs" question: I wonder if all those GTO drivers (a real "American" car, right?) know that our Aussie commonwealth friends are building them? Meanwhile most North American Toyotas are built in Ontario and the US?
You gotta love ignorance, it makes for good satire.

Honda my A$$, you just can't kill a Yota...
haha.. since were on the Topic of so called "American built" cars.. how about:
The Chevy Aveo, built in Korea
The Pontiac Aztec or Buick Rendezvous built in Mexico
The Crapalier and Sunflower built in Mexico
The Cadillacs built, design and based off the European Opels
Drive domestic my ass! GM builds half they're shit somewhere else, takes their jobs to Mexico cause they can pay them $5 per hour, outsources parts to China cause they're "CHEAP" and they want me to drive "DOMESTIC" they can lick my nuts!
I'll have to admit I do love my Park Avenue. It rides well...and it has never cost me much on maintenance. You can't beat that 3.8 L engine. It still doesn't get the gas mileage I need to go to work everyday...especially since it just shot up to $2.60/gal this week.
