are there no How-To's?

ive searched every possible option and cant find anything on how to re-wire a '92 Prizm to accept a 4A-GE motor. am i using the wrong keyword, or is there just none available?

i have bro, trust me. ive used:

-motor swap
-AE92 swap
-AE92 motor swap
-AE92 engine swap
-4a swap
-4a engine swap
-how to
-how to swap

and i know there is a few more. i havent typed 'Prizm' once, as i know it is a Corolla with just a few different parts. i have typed in everything i can think of and there are no wiring diagrams that i can find. i contacted Dr.Tweak and of course he is willing to sen me a pre-made harness for $350, but i dont have that kind of loot for just a harness. especially when i can do these kinds of things myself.

now, if i have overlooked the threads somehow, feel free to e-slap me. but this is driving me crazy. ive even Googled the net and cant find squat.

Oh, I see what you mean... NO there is no how to's on TN. Check out www.club4ag.com their tech section has a couple of nice write-ups on 4AGE FWD and RWD swaps.

BTW they are NOT a step by step write-up, but they have a lot of info.

yeah, thats what ive been looking for. in the Nissan world, there are tons of How-To write ups, but i havent found any for the Corolla. i will check out the site again, but the first time i looked at it, all the info was for the RWD 4A-GE AE86's.

Works the same for the FWD, take old motor out, put new motor in.

Toyota wiring manual

I just finished putting a Calif. emmissions eng. 7A-FE that had an A/T on it, into a FED-Canada car having a 7A-FE and M/T in it. Both cars are '93 DX models.
The Calif. eng has EGR valve and the Fed-Canada did not. I initally left existing computer, and exhaust system in the good car and it ran OK, but thought it would not pass smog test so replaced computer, exhaust system and wiring harness with the parts that came with that good engine I installed.
The dashboard plug that goes into the computer had a 12 pin plug and the puter has a 22 pin socket.
I asked an auto electrical shop to make me a wiring diagram to make the different wiring work. He had to buy a wiring book from Toyota. But after studying the Haynes and Chilton wiring diagrams, I figured that matching the wire color codes for the two plugs would do the trick and it did. There are now 4 extra wires not connected but they were for the A/T I think.
Will ask shop to check my modification to be sure I don't ruin my puter.

If you still need wiring info I can give you the electrical mechanic's address and maybe he can make up a diagram for your particular situation.

haha.. yeah DK has lots of stuff.. someone there posted a step-by-step Timing Belt changing write up, I was like

Not sure if there will be much AE92 info though, as there isn't many of us AE92 owners there, mostly AE86s.
