I am just as excited about the spring so I can swtich my tire too, got those enkei rims to put on, no more driving like a nut on 13" rims with ballon tires
haha.. I was thinking about it this weekend as it was really nice and I took my 90 GTS out of the garage and went for a boot, then I parked it and said to myself.. fook this! I'm waiting at least 2 more weeks.
BTW Anthony, if you come to the East end meet on the 25th, you might get a ride on the 90 GTS.
the biggest difference is the rubber compounds the tires are made of. Snow tires are much softer so that in the cold they are still soft which gives you your traction. Summer tires are hard to begin with so in the cold they go like rock, but in the heat they give you good traction, where snow tires don't fare as well in the heat
Yea I was going to run down to get the hardware to put my rims on but the place was closed lol. So I am waiting now also. Maybe by the time the meet comes around I will have the rims on... Meh at least I got my driver side wheel bearing fixed, no more front end fish tail next is the alignment
and ooo the 90 gts lol and ooo you remember my name :O
this morning I woke up and everything was ice because it's still to cold at night
It's not just the ice and snow. It's the temperature. Summer tires harden WAY to much in the cold because they are meant for heat! All seasons are the medium between the two but the problem is in extreem cold they harden up, and in extreem heat they get to soft. Stick to winter tires until the temp warms up, don't just shove them on because the snow and ice doesn't stay during the day!
and if you think I am making shit up go to canadian tire or a local tire shop with the tires on display and sqeeze the tread
