I know how heavy our hoods are! And yes it would be a great idea to make a group order for CF hoods, but we unfortunetly did that before and we didn't end up getting anything!
If you have someone that would do it, and only need a number of people... The count me in for sure...

I'd say at least $400 but probably more.. Depending on how many people we can get in! Maybe if we have more people who want them we'll get a deal.. But we don't even know who's doing it??!!

IF the price is right and the quality is good, I wouldn't mind one for the AE86 ... damn, everytime I pop that sucker, I question why people get CF hood for their civics (altho, if I had the money, I'd probably get one).
I've seen CF hoods on AE86's in Japan! Maybe you can somehow order one?? But i've never seen them on AE92. So I'd love to be one of the first people to put a CF hood on my! (But then again, I'd probably be the last :-? )

carbon fibre hoods don't necessarily have to be lighter.. It depends on the quality of the hood made, and how much resin they use.
why don't you go a cheaper route, fiberglass?
This guy in Vancouver does Carbon fibre and fibreglass hoods for supras. Im pretty sure he does custom work as well. check out his site www.carbonfibrefx.com his name is Duane.
