P0440, 441, 446 - still under emission warranty?

Hi All,

I've done a lot of searching both on the net and this forum. I know that it's related to the emission control system (valves, canister, gas cap, etc) and it's a common problem with this generation 2000.

My question is if these emission components are covered under the emission control warranty. I believe the certain "specified" emission related components are covered up to 80K.

This car has 66K on it and it was bought used.

If anyone knows, please let me know. I'm certain that if I call the dealer they will say bring it in and find someway to charge for every little thing possible.

As far as I know, that extened emissions warranty only applied to the catalytic converter. There was also a time limit on it. I want to say six years, but not sure. Just go to Google and search "catalytic converter extended warranty" or similar keywords, and you'll find the answer. The extened warranty was mandated by the federal government, so I guess it would be the same for all makes.
