Im not all that sure as to what engine i have so i was hopping you guys could clarify it for me.
The head is silver and it says 4A-K75 on it (yellow sticker), the firewall says 4A-LC 1.6L and the block just says 4A on it, which one is correct or are they all just saying the same thing...
but according to the vin and various sites i've seen that tell you what the vin mean say that the engine is an 4A-GE, here is the vin if anyone can decypher it
ok, well i guess ill start looking at the local auto wreckers for a 4A-GE then, anybody have a list of cars, or know some cars that come stock with it? and one more Q, is the block different from FWD and RWD (cause i know some 4A-GE are RWD and some FWD)
thats what i have AE82 '86, does anyone know if a 4A-GE is a direct swap (no mount modifications needed?) and is there a block, difference between the FWD and RWD motor?
so a 4A-G has a carb and a 4A-GE is EFI?... if i get the 4A-G can i just swap the head?? or do i need to swap some internals?
ALL 4A-GEs are EFI. however you can take the EFI system and run dual carbs with an aftermarket intake manifold, like the picture below. less electronics but require a lot of manual tuning.
