1990 Sr5: Loss of power @ 3000 rpm

Hi there,

I have good power from start to 3000 rpm, then from 3300 right through to top end, but from 3000 to 3300 I have a low-end vibration, which I can't locate. It's a big power robber - the engine bogs right down - but I can drive through it.

I've recently had an exhaust leak fixed, but that did nothing. I'm also running injector cleaner through the system... Oh, I just checked the plugs and they're fouled: black around the rim, but clean gap...I'm going to replace them this afternoon and see what happens. I've had two mechanics look, but they havne't located anything. Does anyone have an idea?

I've just put the car up for sale. Red, 166K. Does $2500 CDN sound reasonable? It's in great shape, although there's a little bit of rust forming...
