hi, i'm posting for my gf. i was wondering how much would a 4A-GHE or a 4A-GZE swap would cost. How much would a 3S-GTE swap go for? I'm looking at possibilities to swap her car and use it as a project car if she doesn't buy another car. Thanks in advance if you have any comments on this.

4AGHE?? I hope you meant a 4AGE.. we don't even know what kind of car your GF has, but that's not the case.. the problem is that there's no "set price" for swaps dude. The swap will cost you whatever the shop wants to charge you. First thing is to find the motor, the more complete the better.

Ballpark figures maybe, for example a ST 20V 4AGE swap will run you about $2500-3000 same goes for a GZE. For a BT 20V 4AGE you could pay about $3000-4500. For a 3SGTE swap.. you don't wanna know.

lol thanks for the response, sorry i got the engine wrong. lol i dont own a toyota, but i intend to in a couple of years.

well i was wondering how much the engine would be, because i have a friend who would swap of car for free on my team. thanks.

^^ I paid AU$2,200 for my half cut, plus about $1k in extras (exaust is different, SS Suspension is different, oversized hubs and rotors on the spline size, requiring 15" rims etc). So you could be looking in the AU$3k mark. But i hear that 20v's over there are much more rare than here, so you could be looking upwards of US$3k.

Btw, i did the swap myself - expect with all the hiccups - the car to be off the road for at least 2 weeks. And that is if you dont have to get any parts from Japan (These can take 6-8 weeks).
