unjammed piston brake?

a few questions here. i just checked my front brakes and it seems one of the 2 pistons are jammed (sticking out). how do i stick it back in to fit in the calipers? try to push it with my fingers but it damn hard. i nearly whack it with a hammer try to bleed it but the brake fluid kept on messing the place.

just a noob...

You just need somthing that will push on it hard enough, as said a C clamp is a good opion. Sping compressors etc. will work to.

dunno what model it is..

i managed to pull out that thing and i can torn rubber seal. went to the parts dealer to raplace the seal. and they said it is not an ae101 stock diskbrake, which means the seal is way too big compare to what in my car now (the previous owner might have modified it from other model .
my question is, do u guys know (based on the serial number from pics) what car is it from?website? tq.

Those look like superstrut calipers, If you can't find parts for them the will have the same seals as the first gen sw20 mr2.

if they are really bad you will have to replace the caliper otherwise what you can do is wire wheel the pistons and clean the cylinders up best you can then buy some caliper shit to smeer all inside there and on the pistons and then put is back together

Thats what we would do at the shop to one that is sticking but will move with the c clamp. If they are really bad we replace them!

the guys at the shop were tellin me they don't make the kits anymore. those boots tend not to be sold my themselves you usually have to buy a whole new caliper

thats why I said for now just clean it up smeet caliper lube al over both parts then put it back together they will work fine long enough to save some money up for a new set.
