rear drums

just recently
when i brake hard, the rear brake drums would make a grinding noise.. like.. as it rotates..

it use to come and go... it still does but occurs more often

whats wrong? what should i do? how much would it cost?

Replace the shoes.. its not that hard, but if you dont feel comfortable with that then take it to a shop and have them do it..

EDIT: forgot to mention, if the shoes have digged into the drums, you'll have to machine the drums of replace them (wont cost too much I guess). and the rest is just the price of the pads and labor.

No problem, just did my drums few weeks ago along with the front disks...its pretty simple when you get the hang of it.
