i dunno...i'm suspect of that guy. For the amount that he charges, he should know a hell and be able to do a lot more. JOver knows some shop in his area that seem pretty familiar with 4ages.

Well i went to Yoshio once and asked some questions about my car (ae92) and he acted like he didnt even know it. Weird considering he used it as a platform for a 4WD 3Sgte rally car. I got the same service from him that i would get from Lucky Auto. These guys know that they have a monopoly on the Toyoto performance scene and think it gives them the right to act like pricks. Maybe i caught him on a bad day cuz he was pretty slow to answer. Seemed to be lost in thought. Whatever, id go to him only as a last resort. Maybe you guys will get better service. Who knows...

hey norm how well do you know gillman?

my buddies take all their hondas there and they have big work.. b18c1 +t04e style stuff.. anyways, how does he hang with a toyota engine? i am pretty sure most stuff is pretty much similar and can cross over from the honda stuff, but is there anything he is exceptional at?

thanks
andrew

Yoshio's got a tough shell, cuz he guages you to find out if you're really serious and not just some other kid that just wants to put on neon glow squriters, that's why he most often seems "snobby".

He's a Toyota master technician, and has had many years of training in Japan. He's also very good with Stand Alone computers and tuning... I think if you were to do some fine-tuning, Yoshio's the man.

As for doing things like installing springs, and other small jobs, you'll find Yoshio to have his co-op students installing them.

I bought some shocks from him before...real cheap too, so it just takes time to talk, be open and make sure you come across as serious about your project.

jover forgot to mention that gauging also relates to how much $$ you have to blow on your car.. he isn't gonna give you a 30 mins answer nailing down ever option when you say, damn too expensive and then go elsewhere.

he has the high profile customers and wants to keep it that way.

Yoshio knows his stuff and is a reasonable guy who will be realistic with you.

I just find the language barrier a little annoying sometimes.
