I know you must think that Corolla's a complete peices of S**t at this point. I have noticed that there are a number of "Abused" Corollas running around lately, yours may be one of them.
I'm here to assure you, get those problems fixed, take good care of it, and you will be rewared with the most amazing car on the road.
I found my Corolla imbedded in blackberry brambles out on a farm. I asked the owner what he had planned for the car. He told me he was going to give it to a hulk hauler, just to get it off the land. I told him that I'd come back for the car in five days. I spent a day getting a new battery, some oil, fuel and some tools. It took two hours to get it running again. I spent another $200.00 getting the oil changed, timing belt, coolant flushed and a clutch master for it. Now the car runs perfectly.
umm me think corolla's are pieces of shit? maybe before I owned mine I thought they were slow and crappy but after mine :O DAMN! Hell as long as the frame isn't rottin you can fix it lol
my only reserve is the negative return on the investment you made on the car to get in good condition if you traded it in or sold it. Your almost better off keeping it if you have the money for a newer one.
my corolla was sitting in an open field for 11 years before i got it and it was my girlfriends moms property and i asked her about it and she said that she thought it was trash and was gonna call a salvage company to haul it off and i got it with a trailer and took it home and put new taillights, changed the oil, put a new fuel pump and gas tank and rear tires and its perfect now and it smells good inside...this is it before i did any work to it...
yup...old corollas, lots of people call them pieces of trash, but i'll be damned if i find another piece of trash like it that can keep on going...and going
my bro's AE86 went over 200k miles already and my other bro's AE92 is getting there. I got my te72 around 170k, and no major work done on any of the 3 cars. gotta love 'em
