Corolla Alarm Light
I was looking at a 2001 Corolla LE that I was planning to purchase. It as all the bells as whistles: cruise,tilt,power mirrors, map lights, etc..
I say a checkmate security system sticker on one of the windows.
The car came with a keyless entry pad that looked like it was installed after purchase.
My question is:
The car came prewired from toyota with the little red light to the left of the steering wheel for a future alarm. The red light is constantly lite up all the time (not blinking - constantly on). Does this mean that an alarm was installed but it has been deactivated? If so how can i activate it? The reason i think the alarm is there and its off is because from a past experience with my Chevy. my Chevy Blazer light was constantly light only while the alarm was off.
