4agze camshafts

I have swapped the levin 4agze into my 94 corolla and now I am looking at some camshafts. I see a lot of people going with two different sizes and I was wondering why that is? I am not looking for a monster because I used the stock (c52 I think) tranny and don't want to break it. The ones I am looking at are ..Intake 272Degrees 8.35MM Lift. Exhaust 264Degrees 8.1MM Lift. Anyone with a 4agze already have camshafts and know what produces a good amount of power without being unstreetable? New hks cam gears and valve springs will be going in with whatever size i go with and I am going to eventually do an hks pulley kit and intercooler sprayer.

Usually the "mildest" cam will give you a decent gain without having to upgrade ECU or anything like that. I believe there's a milder cam than the one you're looking at.

the ones you are looking at are right on the verge of going past the stock ecu's ablity to run with here's a 4age tuning site should help you a bit more with cam selection http://www.billzilla.org/4agmods.htm

If you want more power and stay streetable, it'll be better choice to go with more boost instead. That way, your idle and non-boosted conditions will remain the same making it more drivable, easier to pass smog, and keep your gas milage (for normal driving).

Exactally, generally you should worry about the cams on a FI motor (especially a 4agze) instead look at the exhaust and more boost.
