Question What Bell Housing/Tranny fits the 3SGTE for a RWD set up?

I have read of the 3SGTE/3SGE...etc etc... fitting in the AE86 But is there a Factory Bell Housing that fits that for a RWD Tranny? That seems it would be a Sweet motor to use if there was an actually Bell Housing/Tranny combo that would bolt together. Mounts and a drive line I think would be easy enough to make but the mating of the the Motor and Tranny to work in RWD is to me unknown.

Thanks, Jason

Ryan's using a custom made bellhousing. and that swap is not as easy and cheap as it looks.

Yes there are a few options you could go with, 1s or 2s bellhouseings are the most common as the 3sgte clutch fits inside them, the only porblem is that 3sgte's are designed to be mounted on an angle, and all factory bellhousing will mount it upright.

The problem with mounting them upright is the the head cannot drain the oil back into the sump fast enough, and so the engine is starved of oil.

Since the 1s and 2s bellhousings mount the motor upright the angled FWD sump is no good. You could use a 1s or 2s sump but the baffling in them is crap and you will again starve the engine of oil.

What year/generation 3sgte are you planning on using?
