Wen i went to start up my 06 corolla the other day somethin weird happened..i put the key in and turned it, started it up, but when i put my foot on the brake took off the E-brake and tried to put the car in drive it wouldnt go..i didnt know what happened..but i turned the car off waited a minute or so and turned it back on and everything was fine so i didnt worry..

did this ever happen to anyone? did i do anythin wrong?

I'm not sure if you did anything wrong, but it wouldn't hurt to be prepared. I would check the brake pedal switch to make sure it is not loose and that the brake light comes on with no flickering. You should also read the manual, so that you will be able to use the shiftlock override, if it happens again.
