Hey, I'm considering buying an 89 Corolla but I'm not sure if it's a GTS, it's listed as one but it has new paint n the badges are gone. It is carburated and has an auto transmisson and as far as I know that isn't a GTS but I may be wrong. Can anyone help me?

Corolla GT-Ss never came carbed or auto. Either someone did some extensive swappage, or that's is most likely an SR5.

Depends why you wanna buy it... if you're thinking of modding it, don't.. if you need cheap transportation.. go for it.

even if he's thinkin of modding it. With the redone body and interior it won't be to much to swap a manual tranny in it

It's an SR5! And fun as hell to drive, has a few minor problems but those can be fixed. Any recomendations as to suspension? It has what looks like 14" rims with low profile tires and when I turn they bottom out in the wheel well, also at high speeds (60 mph) the car seems to wooble. I'm thinking it just needs new suspension or is it the big rims?

if they bottom out... they are bigger than 14
and it's not the diameter but the width. My 205/45 r16 tires rub the inside front wheel wheel on one side because of the camber being so off...
has nothing to do with the size of the rim with the wobble. Actually the low profiles will feel more stable at high speeds. Also get

If they are hitting the top of the wheel well maybe the suspension is to soft, mine seems pretty tight for an econo sports car. You can go buy a suspenion for $1800 thats 15 way adjustable. Just replaces the stock macpherson strut system. no supension tools needed.
