I was calmly driving along... and then WHAM, the tubing for the muffler system falls off the catalytic convertor . So I pull over to assess the situation and well, the bolts have fallen off leaving the tubing on the ground  but still connected to the muffler which is connected to the car... and the flange hanging on for dear life on the CC.
In short... I need the bolts and whatever fastening device that comes with that section of the muffler system.
Thank you.

This isn't my car exactly, I got it out of a haynes manual. the two red circles indicate which bolts have come off. I know the pic is dark, but im sure you'll get the point. Other thatn the bolts, I don't know what else keeps the cat on.

I suggest new hi-flo cat and custom cat-back exhaust.
Seriously though, if the flange on the cat is not usable and you want to save some money, an exhaust place might be able to weld a new flange on.
If it were me I would be off to Crappy tire after I had a good look at it and find the repair equipment necessary for a temporary fix until you have enough for a new exhaust.
but what about the old bolts? did they come off because of the rotted flange? if yes like borowhatshisname said, new bolts won't 'eat' on to the flange....
the bolts are long gone. The flange is fine I NEED THE BOLTS
Since they are gone, I don't know the size. The bolts were probably knocked loose by scraping and the nuts found their way off the bolts. Then on one fatal shift.....

Do they have to be a certain size and thread? If not, just head out to crappy tire and grab some nuts and bolts. It shouldn't cost more than say..... a buck or so?
I'm sure you have some old bolts lying around. Then you can get a good idea about the size and like Aaron said, you can just grab some at HOme Depot or Can. tire.
Dave, do you have that intake adapter and cone filter lying around still? Are you planning on using them or can I get those off of you sometime? Remember, you owe me one for the back seats.

did the bolts snap? or are they still usable?
borowhatshisname!
Hey baartman, did the cat fall off completely from the assembly (which means you're driving around sounding like a civic) or was it just the heatshield?? from you first post it sounds like heatshield.. but from the pic you posted it looks like the cat fell off :-?
if its just the heatshield it should be easy to fix... you could even drive around without it if you wanted to.. just watch out for plastic bags getting stuck on it.

NO. The cat did not fall off. The tubing fell off. I dont even have a heat shield on the cat. The pic I posted was not my car. If you read the post, you would have known that. The bolts have fallen off. I NEED NEW BOLTS. That is all.
