2006 corolla braking issue

I have a 2006 corolla and I noticed that every once in a while the brakes will pulsate. Usually when I stepping on them fairly hard but not stomping on them. Is this an urgent problem that I should have looked at? Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Sounds like your anti-lock braking system activating....that is, if your '06 is equipped with abs

Quite a few things can cause pulsing in the brake pedal, but it shouldn't be happening in an '06 unless you drive really hard. Take it to the dealer under your warranty. Don't let them give you the old "it's normal" line.

EDIT: Could be ABS, I guess. Don't have it on my Corolla, but don't feel it on my Pontiac.

Yes...you could have "glazed" your pads/rotors. From riding your brakes. You have a stick?

Seriously...I hade a slight pulsate/vibration in my brake pedal. I replaced the rotors (cheap and EASY) and the brakes were smooth as glass again.
