Possible new owner...

Hi all, I come from CEG (www.contour.org) im an avid Ford enthusiest and currently drive a 1996 Ford Contour that I have put a lot of time and energy into. I was offered to be sold a 1998 Toyota Corolla LE, Loaded... Tachometer, Power windows, power locks, Cruise, 6 CD changer, Casette, ATX , I drove it once, they drive pretty well, nothing really amaizing, but the reliability and solidness of a good car is definately there. it has 102K miles and has been regularly maintained and upkept by two car freaks, one of which was OCD. The car is in near perfect condition aside from a few minor defects in the paint, a hood chip or two.. It runs great.... I will be selling my very loved contour for it, I love the contour it handles amaizingly for a car with 130K miles, but you can feel its just starting to wear out.

So I was offered this car sold to me for $2800, in the next two weeks I will know for sure if the car is mine (pretty much 100%). Im sure this is a great deal... Is there anything I should look out for? Any preventative maitence? Im sure there is going to be no problems because its a toyota and they are amaizing for reliability.

I would check the front rotors and pads for wear, and if you can check the rear drum brake shoes also. Shocks/struts maybe soft by now too, see how it handles road bumps.

The rest is just your regular oil changes and filters (oil & air), see how the transmition oil is looking like, may need changing

Very nice, it has new brakes all around. the suspension is a little worn, but it still rides alright... He said it might need to be replaced in the near future.
