Start pulling out your hair Ken.

I don't know. I think it's a pain in the arse, but what do I know?

Why not purchase a GTS?

Thanks,
Kevin

Yes, I believe SR5s have drums. I think much more money will be needed for a full conversion to a GTS. Whatever that means. Haha, just buy a GTS, Ken.

My mom used to have an SR5...when I was 3 hehehe...maybe this is why i'm addicted to cars now...

The SR5 comes with manual transmission as it means "Sport Racing 5-Speed"
But I know y'all knew that.

damn....
kev: hehe gts' are kinda over rated now and for the price of a gts.. i could buy a decent sr5 and convert it w/ a 4agze and still spend the same amount of $$ (IF there isn't much difference)

but if they come w/ drums.... can i just grab the whole rear axle from a gts? anyone?

Ken

plan on grabbing the transmission, driveshaft(?), rear end, rear swaybar, change the fuel lines and pump.

On top of that, you need the 4AG and all the associated vaccum lines, and electrical harness.

In any case, if you're gonna be doing stuff like putting in a different motor saay a GZE, it's well worth your time.

The cool thing is most SR5's are in better condition than the GTS's, probably because owners of SR5's don't abuse their cars like GTS owners do.

Oh if you care, the interior of the SR5 is different, the front bumper and the mirrors are not power.

you could swap the motor and go carbs or sds(standalone) and skip the wiring.
