Another motor oil question

The Corolla that I just bought has about 118,000 miles on it. The only brand of motor oil that has ever been in it is Kendall. I can't find Kendall at any of the parts stores in the area. Will it hurt for me to switch to Castrol? Will it make the engine start using oil if I do this?

Kendall is kind of a cheap oil right. I can get it here at a local Westwood autoparts store and its half the price of a regular oil like Castrol etc.. etc.. I used it on my s13 when I had it. In my 89 Ae92 I always used Castrol 10w30 but I just made the switch to Mobil 1 synthetic and everyting seems fine and even better. Over 150,000 miles on my car by the way.
