uh-oh...

A couple weeks ago I let my mom borrow my 97 Corolla for a few days while her car was in the shop... she drove up to her friends house in the mountains for the weekend... woke up in the morning and my car was under a pile of snow. Rather than try to get it out she let it sit there... for TWO WEEKS!!! Under a pile of snow!! I was kinda pissed... but I just got it back and it seems to be alright. Do you think my engine and everything is alright? My car has probably never seen any temperatures below 40F until now... plus it sat there for two weeks. Is there anything I should check? Will my car be ok?

BREATH BREATH! the engines are meant for colder than they will see so just calm down it's just a little snow. Hell they get snow and coldness in japan and we get it in canada and our cars still work

Yeah I know... its not so much the snow I was worried about as I was about it sitting for that long in the cold. I drive it every day and I didnt know if having it just sit there and not being run for two weeks would have any impact.

Play your cards right... tell your mom that because of her the car is very sick, it developed a bad case of "crankcase fever" and that you need some money to fix it. Bingo

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! sorry this thread is funny.. considering our cars up here in the great white north known as Canada have to be in the blistering cold weather for 4months.

Yeah, it's NOT a big deal, I've had chunks of rust freeze right off of the body because of the cold . If you don't know Minnesota, it's more like southern Canada than northern US.
