got bored on a drive.... here's proof: 3rd gear, 80mph

little blurry..... used my camera phone:

3rd gear, over 80mph, under 6,000 rpm's..... you can imagine that i would hit 110mph at 7800 rpm's

fun fun. my old 5 speed ranger hit 90 in 3rd aroudn 6k-6.5k...at the rev limiter. it also reached 92 in 4th and 91 in 5th :-p (where HP=drag. underpowered 4 banger POS grumble grumble) since i accidentally started it in 3rd more than once when i was really tired, i suppose i could say it could be driven in 1 gear.

Just a bit of trivia: A modern sportbike can do almost 80mph in 1st gear. And there's still 5 gears remaining. Then again we're talking about a 16000+ RPM redline.
At that RPM each spark plug flashes at 133 times per second.
You computer monitor is flashing at about 80 times per second (depending on the setting)
