did you do a search.. this is a topic that has been brought up way too many times already. \

14x7 offset 38-45mm - good for competition/daily driving.
15X7 offset 38-45mm - good for competition/daily driving.
16X7 offset 38-45mm - still does the job
17s are overkill.. stick to 16 max.

if you use 205width tires, you might have to use spacers on the back wheels depending on the offset as they may rub your struts.

my or52 enkie's (16x7) are GREAT! . but the 205 45 tires rub on the inside rear because of that extra rubber lip on the tire to protect the rim... but other than that the rim doesn't rub

the only reason mine rub is because of that extra lip on the tire but that depends on the offset... a 205 is a 205 on a 16 inch or a 15 inch rim...

The only reason yours rub is probably the offset and the fact you don't have spacers.

I ran 15x7 with 45mm offset for the longest time.. the tires at the back were close to rubbing and on the front they rubbed ONLY when I turned all the way to one side.. I ran 195 width though, had I run 205 width I would have needed spacers. I have a pair of spacers that I'm saving for when I run 205/50-15s.

On the AE92s, 45mm is probably the max offset you can run in the higher end and not rub the inner parts (fender or struts) and I'd say maybe 38mm the min offset you can run on the lower end.. maybe a tad lower without rubbing the outer fenders. The OEM GTS wheels are 39mm offset 14x5.5 and the MR2 wheels I believe are 38mm offset.

15"/50/205's with 5mm spacer/ also longer and much stronger studs for both front and rear !! this is the way to go man !! the wider stance in the rear and the fatty looken tires looks and handles awsome ! plus its much more comfy ride with wider tires

You might not even need the spacers for that offset, check it out first.

16x7.5 is the size of my summer rims. I forget the offset but spacers are needed for the rear. I just ordered 15mm spacers with the wheel studs built right into the spacers.

That's what I have and when I put them on they rubbed the inside of the rear fenders when the suspension bottomed. I filed down the inside fold on the fenders and now it's fine.

In any case it doesn't really matter, cause I'm not talking about AE92, but just saying, they could also rub the other side (not just the strut) if you have too-wide tires and too-low offset.

Edit: looks like the fenders on AE92s are more flared anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem
