Is a wheel alignment covered under warranty?

I'm guessing not, but if nothing is bent/damaged, then maybe it should be covered.

Its only covered for the first year if there is a problem and I believe its a one time thing......Even if you think your alignment is fine I would still have it done, its free and they just might find something needs adjusting...Just tell them it pulls slightly or something if they ask...~Radd

No officially alignment is not covered under warranty and most of the dealership rip customers off by charging a good price just to do the alignment. However, it depends on the dealership as well since they are individually owned. Since XRS has a heavy and stiff steering column for precision and feedback from the road, it is easy to feel if the alignment is out (floatiness in the steering can be detected easily). When I get my XRS in for service at the dealership (where I got my XRS from), if I feel there is something wrong with the alignment, my dealership checks and does the alignment for free to keep my happy and it is like driving a brand new car from the lot again. That is why I love my dealership since they go the extra mile to keep me happy.

It is covered in your 36 month bumper to bumper warranty, bumper to bumper means exactly that!....But its not covered just to have it "done"..Thats why I said to just make something up like it pulling a bit ...~Radd

It is covered under the 12month 12,000 mile adjustment warranty. After that you are on your own. so whatever that would be in KM it should be the same in Canada.

yeah, he beat me to it. wheel alignment falls under a 1 yr/12000 mile limitation. unfortunately, 3 yr/36000 mi bumber to bumber does not cover literally everything. i guess toyo is saying an alignment at 2 or 3 years is just a normal wear situation (like brakes, shocks etc...normal wear items arent covered under the bumper to bumper)

Bingo!
Just got off the phone with the service dept. and was told 1 year, 20,000 km. I'm past that

He said they charge $90CA for a 4-wheel alignment. I was like the Corolla is not independant in the rear. He said they can still adjust the caster & camber. Is this true?

the new corollas aren't independant suspension? wtf why are they going backwards? the ae92's are....
I have issues with taking my car back to toyota after they charged me for a 4 wheel alignment then told me they couldn't do a rear one even though the adjuster was brand new he thought it was going to break... I told him FINE I will buy a new bolt... Then he's going on how I have to buy the damn arm too because the bushing will be melted when he heats the bolt... I said why are you heating it? try to adjust it... if it breaks then put the new one in.. oh no he said then... err.. the bushing will be siezed... as if I know nothing about cars. they treated me like an idiot. Fuck they let me drive away the first time with the car pulling towards the ditch. plus jesus! $160 an hour for labor... cost me like $400 to have a balljoint replaced and a 4wheel allignment... the ball joint is bolted to the lower control arm... but w/e never going back to jackson toyota in barrie again .

$160 an hour????? Are you sure? It's $90 here.
Many shops are crooks. People talk about how their mechanic is good and gave them free stuff, etc. but I bet 1/2 these people overpaid thousands of dollars before getting to this "free" point.
