Question How can I tell if the FWD Tranny I have has LSD?

How can I tell if the FWD Tranny I have has LSD? I was told since it was a 5spd from a ST 20v motor it might be but I am not sure how to tell? I looked for something on the Outside to say something but found nothing. Anyone know?

Thanks

There are 3 ways I can think of off the top of my head.

These are assuming its in the car.
1. The build plate of the car. (since you probably don't have the original car thats no use)
2. Jack up one front wheel and try to turn it (car in gear) if you can easily turn it then no LSD
3. Do a skid.

If its not in the car then look down the axel hole. if there is a hex bar then no LSD (not factory anyway) if you can see straight through then it could well be LSD.

LSD c52's are extremly rare and I really doubt you have one, but who knows, you may be lucky.

Actually the 20Vs came with the C56s and they are RARE to have LSD.. its usually found mostly on the Blacktop C56s but very rare.

Actually most of them (silvertops) came with the c52, the facelift ones had the c56.
And most of the blacktops were non-LSD also. BZR's and non-facelift BZV's are the only ones to have LSDs as standard.

Only difference is the 3rd and 4th gear ratio, no easy way to tell them apart.

Count the revoulutions of the axles per revoulution of the input shaft when in 3rd or 4th and calculate the ratio, its the only way I know of to be sure.
