Get a Haynes manual forget Chilton junk. Or go to the auto parts store and flip through theirs. In the meantime, if you are looking at the EGR valve it is just to the left and under the EGR valve. I had to replace mine last year, easy to do. You are probably getting a check engine light? I had to replace EGR, VSV, and front O2 sensor at the tune of about $500 in parts, ouch! But hey, now I get 3 miles more to the gallon and can legally pass smog I wouldn't get a used, mine lasted to 120k and they started shorting out electrically. I would get the cheapest price of the internet and then get your dealer to match it, which they do.

Thanks man, I just need the car to pass inspection for now so a used one is the way to go for me. The dealer was charging 120 for one so if I can't find one I be screwed.

If you need to pass inspection try this trick. Disconnect your battery cable right before the test, try this before actually going to test, and it should briefly reset your check engine light for about 5-20 miles of driving. Then you should pass no problem. I did this for 2 smog tests before I ever fixed the problem.

I've tried it already and it only stays off for about 5- 10 minutes. Thats how long it takes me to get past the line at the DMV. I guess my car don't like me
