WHERE IS IT???????????????

manual transmission filler plug

Hi Rice;

I don't have access to a '94 today, but since nobody has posted a reply on this yet, I'll tell you what I can . . . Look on page 1-20 of the Haynes manual for figure 19.1 (that is, if your manual is the same one I'm looking at). It's a little scrap drawing of the transmission that shows the location of the filler hole. The manual lists the capacity at 2.7 quarts. You fill it until the fluid starts dribbling out and you can feel that it's up to the bottom of the filler hole with your finger. You may need a rubber hose to fit to the bottle of fluid, or even one of those little pumps (not expensive, Autozone, etc.) if it's a really tight area around the plug.

HTH;

the fill plug is in the front of the tranny the head faces the radiator, its NOT the small 10-12mm one! its a big 24mm (i think its 24mm) it looks the same as the drain plug!

when the shop did my tranny drain and refill, they pulled off the underbody shrowd (6-8 screws). there are 2 bolts on the trans, one way at the bottom to drain, and another one higher up on the front(opposite the rad). on my 2002 the 2 bolts are more or less inline with each other. you find one, you follow an imaginary line up/down and find the other.

It's a super easy job and im still kicing myself over paying 50 bux in labor to do that work. aww well, it was a 50 dollar lesson :-)
