I want to swap my 1.8 liter V4 manual to something with alittle more horsepower and less miles cause my corolla has 153,000 and just had the head gasket changed and for some reason oil is getting into my exhaust so im thinking its the rings. So if theres anything that may be available please get me back on this.
A: ever heard of search buttons? search for Corolla engine swaps
B: There are no "V4" motors.. only V6, V8, V10, etc..
A: Yes, he should search before.
B: WRONG. There are V4 engines. You should search your self.
They are commonly used in motorcycles, and sometimes used in cars.

Your swap options are limited by your wallet. If a V6 can be shoehorned into an MR2 why not a Corolla?
sidenote; I've never seen a V4 in ANY car in the USA but it does seem like I've heard of a bike with one. My dad was rebuilding some industrial V4 last week so they are used for more than just bikes.

correction B: COROLLAS NEVER CAME WITH V4 MOTORS!
If you have a pic of a V4 in a Corolla, feel free to post it.
okay. How about this
He said he has a 1.8 V4. I think we can spare the guy this time and assume its a Inline 4 cylinder 1.8L like the ones that came with the 98-00 corollas.
So What year is your car my friend?
