Canada 1st gen 4AGZE + AE86 =?

hey im considering this swap , but i just would like an opinion of you guys who hae it done already...is it worth it?
is there a major power increase compared to the 16V ?
how much did it cost you for the motor and any seperate neccesary pieces.

can i see some pics of how it looks in the enjine bay
and do you leave the top mount intercooler or did u change it to a FMIC.
please guys i wanna do this swap but i would like some insight from u first
thanks.

the gze will give u torque, so u wont have to rev to a billion to get moving from a dead stop anymore . u can still retain the tmic if u fab up some kind of hood scoop. however, fmic is a more common approach. some ppl even use an ma70 supra ic. a w-series transmission is also something to consider.

woah dude.. that's like asking.. will it hurt more if I jump from the third step or the third floor?

Unless you want to hack your hood and put on a scoop, FMIC FTW!!

I thought you sold your corolla?

Anyways, you're still fine with the T50 tranny if you're not planning to boost it past 10-14.

And if you do go past that much boost, there's always the W5X series trannys from the Supras and Celicas.

i agree with hachi_slow... if it's properly installed/tuned the T50 will be ok. but incase it goes get the Celica/Supra W transmission but you'll need a different bellhousing.

10-14 psi on a 4agze?, the engine i was looking at i think it would be called the 1st gen 4AGZE from a AW11 MR-2, they have like 145 HP right, thats the 1 i wanna put in my Corolla because its cheap.

Same engine in my corolla and I'm running slightly above 10 psi right now. So no worries.
