Question What was the First year of the Fuel Injected 4AFE?

I tried to search this in the archives here and it seems 1990 is the fist year right? Well... I found today a guy with an 1988 All-trac with a 4AFE in it and I have a Picture of the Underhood sticker to prove it but I don't know how to post it here. If someone has away to host it I'll send them the photos.

Thanks

4AFE didn't come out until the 1990 Corollas in North america, Sedans and SR5s before that year all came with the 4AF carbed.

Toyota told me 1989.5 was when they swtiched to efi. Their computers were having issues with ordering parts for my car with the vin number in. He said something about it being after they switched to efi but it has a carb. I think when I gave them the vin when I first got the car to find out what engine it had they told me 4afe, which is is most defintely not!

Well, Does anyone else want me to send them the pictures of the Alltrac? I have a Picture of the Sticker under the hood that clearly shows this is an USA/Canada car with a 4AFE and it also says 1988 model year. I would post them here but I don't know how without them having a link? Unless someone can recommend a free photo support website that I can use to put the link here?

Thanks

Got the pics, the sticker doesn't say the car is a 1988 model... it says it "MEETS REGULATIONS FOR CARS MADE AFTER 1988"

Look in the door frame area for the VIN plate, that's where the model year is located.
