Australia Replace 2 din cd player with single din

Hi,
My girlfriend currently has a 02 corolla accent hatch.
I have pulled out the stock tape player which takes up about 1.5 dins and there is a plastic filler for the last bit that the tape player did not fill(I assume the space is there in case the cd player option was fitted). This has not been so bad although it looks funny. It is better then having a big hole in the middle of the console.
We have decided to sell both of our cars and buy a rolla sportivo(about a 03/04 model). This comes with a 6 stacker cd player which takes all of both dins. She only got the cd player about a year ago, it does mp3 ect. I will want ot pull out the sportivo cd player and replace it with hers. This is going to leave me with an ugly gap above(or below) the cd player.

What have people done to cover the holes up?

I was wondering if it was possible to find storage compartments the correct dimentions to screw in there?

Yes they do. I don't know if you have them around there, but Fry's or any other large electronics store should carry DIN-sized storage compartments. I use them to hold my CD's or as a tray for my iPod when I'm playing it though line-in.

Yep.. Go to any Super cheap or Auto 1. They will be able to help you. You can even get ones with CD storage or cupholders. These suit better than the open ones as these just look like something is missing...
