hey guys, i have a 97' Corolla CE with approx. 125k miles on it, and a manual transmission. Last night i was driving home and i pulled over to make a call, and when i tried to leave, my shifter wouldnt shift into reverse. its like reverse doesnt exist. yes, i had the clutch in, but i dont know whats wrong with it. 5th gear also isnt working right, it goes into 5th, but then it doesnt like to come out of 5th. i know this is a really weird problem, but any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

well when i had my old neon 5 speed i was changing the oil and it dropped off the boards i had it on.. one of the boards hit the tranny underneath and messed it up only a few gears worked after.. so maybe something hit underneath? or time for an tranny fluid change? all i can think of...
