The Toyota Factory Service Manual for the 1989 Corolla covers all the Corollas of that year including the "4wd" wagon. Perhaps he was used to that terminology.

Actually i said "4wd" when i was there. I asked him and he said front wheel drive. I repeated 4wd several times untily he said that this was the manuel (which clearly said front wheel drive). He told me that I was wrong and the car that I mistakend for 4WD for 15YEARS wasn't. He asked some other worker in the store if he ever heard of a corolla with 4WD and he laughed and said no.

If only i had the some evidence to put in his face, right at that moment. I had even checked my car on Kelley's site and it was there in AWD.

Don't bother looking for factory manuals at autoparts stores. Look on abe.com or ebay.com. The forum has a "sticky" on this topic.

I have an ae95 wagon 4wd constant witha diff lock..lol no sh*t its the simular to an ae92 until you get to the back doors then it gets weird.Has a stronger rear monocrome sub frame and a live diff!People think im joking till i show em and take em for a spin..it did have 4afe std but now the 20v ...good for grip. A std repair manual should cover almost ever thing except the centr diff ,rear diff but they never break anyway

Any q's just email me im glad to help justinlinton@hotmail.com

ABE and ebay didnt have any for my 89 alltrack. I am looking for a manual similar to that in the Haynes series. But the HAYNES USA website did not show the manual for my exact car.
Does toyota still sell old manuals? Ill have to check later
