4-agze

i got a 7-afe, i wanted to do a 4agze 1.6 supercharged conversion, and it comes with a 5-speed tranny, i was wondering if that engine would fit into my car and if it would bolt up 2 my auto tranmission. and btw, mine is a 1.8. and if it would make more than the stock 7afe, which was 115hp & 117ft.lbs?

The axles are different.. let alone the fact that the 4AGZE would destroy that auto transmission... you're better off converting to 5spd then using the E51 transmission that comes with the GZE OR sell the slushy machine and find yourself an already standard Corolla, you'll spend less money in the long run.

no its not stupid...the auto in ya car shouls handle the power but only just..!depends how ya drive...ect ..electronic contoled transmission..you will need to use the brains fron an auto from that motor which should? plug into your tranny..its under the dash!you would need the torque coverter and flyweel ring from the doner motor..again will fit..
i would get a front cut from the wreakers as it has all the bits you need including computers/brakes/brakets/wires etc..you will need to spice the engine harness but mech it bolts straight up..drive sharfts are fine as iv tryed to break mine unsusesfully..any other q's just ask as im ya man ..so to speak

so what your saying is that i need an ecu from a 20v silvertop, torque converter, and flyweel ring? and then it should bold right up to my auto tranny? cause i found one for $800 with the engine, ecu, wiring harness, and 5spd tranny. and if i needed to buy an auto 20v silvertop tranny, how much bout are they? and what side of the dash is our ecu on? thanx

The ecu is under the glove box in the rhd models......best bet is to find one with an auto on it......autos are hard to find here but arnt worth jack! if ya can......my front cut had an auto but i could'nt use it if i wanted to as i have an awd model..different casings round the bell housing....To make life easyer make sure thye 20v has the acceseries hangen off..with da brakets! it'll save ya a lot of stuffing around later

so what would be the easiest swap with me keeping the auto since a 5spd conversion would be expensive, since iw ant power and an auto, a weird mix. and i might wanna do f/i if i jsuty go with the 20v silvertop

if you want the most beefy 4a-ge, its the levin "blacktop" ae111 165hp 11:1 compression or if you want to stick with the "silvertop" ae101 4a-ge 160hp 10.5:1 compression both are 20 valve and came with auto trannies.

Actually the blacktop may have the most horsepower.. but its not the most "beefy" out of the 20V motors.. the second gen Silvertop 20V takes the cake on that one.
