straight pipes vs muffler

i've been trying to choose an exhaust to put on my 99corolla (1zzfe), and i was wondering how dual straight pipes would be in relation to a single performance exhaust...like sound wise, performance wise etc.

what do you think?

oh and also, i have a black side panel strip on my car, and i was wondering where i could find a white replacement for that and also white door handles instead of the stock black ones

How are you going to get dual from a single exhaust manifold?

Anyways, you'll probably lose power and have a very loud annoying car. I don't think the 1.8L was ever made to run straight pipes! haha

Maybe if you kept them small... say 2" or smaller? Really, I don't know. Never heard of it done before.
