I got a 91 corolla and im trying to get both of the front door panels off?can some one please help me? The panel comes off a little cause I goty the little clips un hooked and i unscrewed all of the screws. But i think its stuck behind the window roller and the door opener. I just dont know if I have to take them off to get the panel off or what. If I do have to take them off HOW? Thanks in advance.

normally to remove the panel you have to remove the window crank and there is a little screw inside the pull handle. to remove the crank, get a shop rag or some fabric and slide it on the open end of the clip holding the crank on. it should push the clip off and then the crank will just pull off, its pretty simple.

According to the Service Manual, you should remove the window roller, the door handle (door opener), the rear view mirror and the arm rest or pull handle.

The directions for the window roller say to remove the snap ring and remove the handle and plate. If you have "Mold board type full trim", you pry off the snap ring with a screwdriver. Otherwise you take a cloth and work the snap ring off. The cartoon shows a pair of hands holding what looks like a wash cloth that is looped on the underside of the handle and between the handle and the plastic circle on the door. The hands seem to be making a scrubbing motion with the cloth. I don't know what this means.

The door handle (door opener) is removed by removing a screw, sliding the handle ot and disconnecting the control cable that is attached to it.

The rear view mirror is removing the screw and knob, pry loose the retainer and remove the cover (which faces the driver), remoe three screws and the mirror. Disconnect the connector. (I don't know why it is necessary to remove the mirror).

The car should either have an armrest or pull handle. The pull handle has one screw and the arm rest has two.

Then you are ready to remove the trim Pry out one screw cap and remove the screw. Pry loose the retainers. If you have power windows or locks you must disconnect some connectors.
