2003 corolla running a little rough at 107000 miles

Not too bad but a little rough, especially at idle. There are no trouble codes so I was thinking maybe the spark plugs, coil packs, injectors, oxygen sensors, fuel pump or something...
Since I may need a new fuel filter because of the mileage I may start with that first but wouldn't I get a lean code if the pump was giving out? I have also heard that oxygen sensors will go out gradually and may not trigger a code until they are way out of spec.

There are no spark plug wires. Just coil packs.
I use a k&N filter so I brush off the dirt every 20 miles or so.

I went ahead and got new o2 sensors and a pcv valve and new plugs and since the belt had never been changed changed that even though it wouldn't have effect on the performance.
Total $219.79 with tax.
I wonder if it will run a little smoother? I have always got so so mileage with the car. Usually 33 mpg average and I drive about 120 miles every other day at 80mph. I guess mileage isn't too bad though.

I did notice that one of the tips for the o2 sensors was dinged. Must of happened when the workers put it in the manifold because I have never changed them until today.

4- ik16 or #5303 iridium plugs $51.96
2- #15730 bosch universal oxygen sensors $119.98
1- belt #7406 autozone duralast brand $19.99
1- pcv valve deutsch brand #pcv112 $8.79
tax from the great state of tennessee $19.07

The only problem I see with what you did is with the O2 sensors. The Bosch universals will probably have a different resistance in the wiring and will often cause problems. If you weren't getting a CEL, I think you should have saved the money. Here's a link to cheao Denso's which work great:

Oxygen sensors don't stop working from one day to the next they gradually lose sensitivity. Which is the reason I replaced them. Also, length plays a very small role. I have had to extend the length of oxygen sensors before with performance cars and noticed no ill effects.

4 speed auto 2003 le.
Coil packs take small amounts of voltage and amplify the voltage to create the spark. Instead of having 1 coil for 4 spark plugs there are 4 coil packs which sit above each plug.

Unless you think your fuel had been contaminated, I wouldn't even consider the fuel filter. The 03+ have lifetime fuel filters.

There's no such thing as a life time anything in a car. Filters will gradually deteriorate. Just change it, cost like $30. Wonder why didn't you get all genuine toyota parts?

call up toyota and ask them when you should change the fuel filter on a 9th gen. I wouldn't have posted it if I was only "somewhat" sure.
