my car has more sway than a 1972 cadillac

Does anyone have any information on installing swaybars onto a 1996 geo prizm that has none? Is there an aftermarket manufacturer for swaybars on these cars? The amount of body roll on this car is almost dangerous! I'd put springs and struts on, but I doubt they would help the excessive body roll.
Thanks

They would help.. think about it, you would be lowering the center of gravity and the car itself, so there would be less room for the car to wobble or roll. I'd say lower it and if you don't feel comfortable enough with it, find some sway bars.

Springs and struts would help. As these are what is actually causing the roll in the first place. You would not believe how much it helped me when i put stiffer springs just on the front (Had to when i went to Super Strut...).

Try it - you might be suprised. And as Ren said, it will lower your CG if you lower the car and therefore you have less weight up top to throw around...

I agree springs and stuts will make a huge difference! if you want sway bars aswell most toys hav a bolt hole ther ready! just grab a bar of a simular model and it sould fit no prob

Use the std rubber for price or go some plastic ones(hard as shi*) for a tighter fit and less flex...if its fwd just fit the back to start with as a looser front will stop the front inside wheel from lifting out of a corner

Ps nice lights spud

My thoughts exactly!!!!!

From internetautoguide.com
"....

The ride, on the other hand, is smooth for a car in this class. The 4-wheel independent suspension on our test model managed bumps without spreading the news around. The struts on the Prizm have been recalibrated to make the already-smooth ride even smoother. Cars fitted with the 1.8-liter engine have a rear stabilizer bar for flatter cornering."

Since I've got the base model with the 1.6, no bar(s) at all.

So who sells the Tokico HP's the cheapest? lol

On a side note, I ended up ordering a rear sway (3/4") from Performance Suspension Technology, for the 93-97 Toyota Corolla. I don't like ordering things not completely specific for my make/model, but I figure the prizm and corolla are near enough the same, I should be able to make it work, even if welding is required.

Actually - only the GT's (FX-GT GT16, GT-Apex etc) in the AE9x-101 and BZ's in the 111's had holes for the front sway bars. The others didnt come with one from the factory, so they never bothered to drill and tap the holes...

(o/t) And thanks, Two Hella 1000FF's on the top for distance and spread, Two Hella Cheapies down the bottom to cover the dark spot in the Hi-Beam up close...
