Yer try pissing off the 4 to 1 and going longer secondairys..eg 4 2 1 .....2inch system good muff on the back, cold air with good filter.
i went for the swap and it has cost a far amount of money but the gain is more than worth it!..it is now a good car with power and grip!

oh ok awesome, yea i've heard that before, apparently 4-1 extractors only give u a lil more high end poke while 4-2-1 gives u better midrange... i have been considering this 4 a while. cheers 4 ur advice. also, would there be much of a performance gain in swapping the 4afe with 320000 ks on it 4 a 4age?

Its about time i found a thread like this!
Here in Australia, I have an 1989 AE95 Corolla SR5 4wd i bought off ebay that im in the process of completly modifying.

I have just fitted an ae101 4agze engine to my wagon
Notable modifications are:
> Cutting out ribs in the block and shaving part of transfer case to make it fit. From my research i have found that most 4a motors need this same modification to fit in an ae95. Some 20v motors fit?! i havent seen one with the same block rib pattern as a 4afe.
> Yes the original vacuum operated diff lock will not work due to supercharger being in the way. You can either turbo your motor to retain this setup or do what i did and remove it completely. you can run no diff lock or operate it manually by pushing the shaft in/out with your hand (not easy). I am currently working on a electric diff lock using electric solenoids.. i've installed them just havent wired them up to test.

There are plenty of other mods but nothing too big... i will do a complete diy write up on the aussie forums and link it here.. i just need to do more work

Yer good call just found that out .but not willing to post it until i know for sure!
So now all 4age series fit..the ribs are the same you mean the bolt location extensions for excesiories? my 20v was easy except for a small amount of grinding on the bolt location for the centre diff to match the 4afe block.
also try www.twincam.org/forums its more aussie with a better understanding of ae95's

Yeh twin cam is a useful site with alot of info..
except there isnt alot of ae95 owners who have modified their wagons... so not much info. there are like a handful i know of. Only like 3 people, who have done the 4agze engine conversion

Ok. heres some pictures of my rolla sedan. and one of my two camry all-tracs and my rolla wagon all-trac. On the sedan I have used truck bed liner on the interior metal, trunk and entire undercarriage to keep it rust free and as a sound deadener.
