squealing not going away

ok ive changed all my belts like 5 times in the past month and the squeling is not going away. it stops if i turn the air fan off, so it cant be related to belts if teh belts are still spinning when teh fain is turned off. what can be causing it?

Yep. Sounds to me like either the fan motor or the A/C Compressor...

I would first check if I have the proper tension on the belt before I change anything. Then, I would replace the belt if tightening doesn't help. I had the same problem with my 92 Prizm GSi and what cure my problem is replacing the belt with a different groove design. I have the problematic Goodyear and replaced it with the sock design.
