launching from dead stop

my car 94' dx 7afe 5-speed, how do you guys launch your car? i launch around 3k rpms, and slighty dump the clutch for about a 1 sec pause, i always get wheel spin and then it hooks up and little bog, is having a lil bog consider normal? or do you want no bog at all? when i pause the clutch there for about 2 sec, the car has no wheel spin but i feel the clutch is just burning away, i'm afraid to take it up to 3.5k-4k because i dont want to mess up the car but it'll probably be bog-less if i do, but there'll be tons of wheel spin, what do you guys think? and how do you launch your guys' cars?

No bog, minimize wheel spin.

For our relatively low torque corollas (yes, even the 7AFE), just find a proper RPM to dump the clutch, if 3 isn't enough, try 3.1, then 3.2, and so on. Jumping right to 4k would be dumb. If the car had a lot of torque, you'd have to learn to feather the clutch.

If you really do plan on drag racing, you'd rev the car higher because the track is generally stickier and you'd lower your tire pressure for more grip anyways during prep.

So find a sweet spot to dump the clutch, the car isn't making enough power to destroy the clutch that quickly, feathering it will just kill the clutch quicker and I don't think your dad will be too happy if he needs a new clutch because of your mischef

when at the drags I launch at about 3600 in my silvertop ae101 levin, just slipping the clutch a little to control wheel spin, just keep practicing you'll get it eventually

in other words...successfully lauching from a dig in a low torque car requires LOW tire spin.

I can't spin my tires anymore because of the grippy tires. shakes the car unless I'm on dirt obviously

Reving to 7k and dropping the clutch is slow in launching, because you spin the tires = reduced grip.
