Corolla Paint turning Yellow
I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla SE. Last week for some unknown reason, the white rear bumper started to turn yellow -- a very dull light yellow color. Not all of the bumper is yellow -- just the top and a small portion of the sides near the trunk lid. I didn't spill anything on it and nothing leaked from the trunk. The car is washed regularly and up until last week, was fine. It was only yesterday when I noticed the dull yellowish coloring to a portion of the rear bumper. Does anyone have any clues why and how to resolve the problem?
On a second issue, I'd like to purchase a protective rubber self-adhesive strip that would protect the "deck" or "lip" area (that's now turned yellowish) on the bumper (you know -- the portion where you'd rest things as you opened the trunk lid.) I don't want to scratch it up and thought a self-adhesive rubber "mat" or bumper pad would help protect it, but I haven't found anything available in stores. Any help there?
Thanks all for your help.
